I knew early in my life that I was called to leadership.
From the outside looking in, it seemed easy and effortless. I could not have been more wrong.
In my first official leadership role, I was clueless and made more mistakes than I want to admit. To make matters worse, I had no coach, no mentor, no guide to help me navigate my own journey into leadership.
Then, twenty years ago, through a series of changes in my life, even questioning whether I should lead another person ever again, a mentor stepped onto the scene and showed me how to lead without telling me what to do specifically. Through coaching, he guided, taught, and exemplified true, biblical leadership at its very core.
Since then, I’ve stepped into more than twenty different leadership roles which have allowed me to put into practice all the coaching I’ve received through the years.
